CONGRATS, Each year, the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau recognizes organizations and events for their contributions made to Summit County's hospitality industry. The nominations are depending upon an electronic online voting system and the event with the most votes wins. The Summit for Kids (SFK) Event was a nominee for 2013 Zenith Award in the 'Community/Special Events' Category. Thank you to all of those who voted for this event. SFK COLLABORATION AWARDS
Summit for Kids, will celebrate partnerships and collaboration on August 16 in conjunction with the 4th Annual Summit for Kids Community Expo. You can participate by nominating community and youth groups, non-profit agencies and organizations, events, businesses and individual youth who have participated in an outstanding collaborative project, event or activity that helped to improve the lives of children and families and the betterment of the community.
Each winner will be awarded a speaking role during the annual lunch and may provide the audience with an overview of their program, its successes and its future goals. Handouts are welcome by each winner and will be included in a package for each luncheon attendee.
The mission of Summit for Kids is simple in design and monumental in reality, therefore, each nominee must show success in enhancing the quality of life for children.
